The CMS Certified Network Specialist ( CCNS) has been CMS Institute’s flagship Career Program for the past several years. This module primarily allows the student to master a desktop environment with primary exposure to networks involving routers and switches.

PC Engineering : The student gains knowledge of PC & peripheral based environment.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) : The student gains knowledge of primary CISCO based networks.

IT Service Desk Fundamentals & Analysis : The student improves soft skills for managing an IT Service Desk.

Installing & Configuring Microsoft Windows Vista : The student understands a Microsoft Windows based desktop environment.

Module Two

This module primarily allows the student to master a networked environment with exposure to mailing and virtualization technology.

Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment : The student learns to administer a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 set up.

Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure : The student learns to install a network in Microsoft Windows Server 2003 environment.

Microsoft Exchanger Server 2007 : The student understands working in a mail server environment.

Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Infrastructure : The student masters the Active Directory services in a Microsoft environment.

Microsoft Windows Server 2008 (MCSA Upgrade) : The student upgrades skills to the Microsoft Windows Server 2008 environment.

Red Hat Linux Essentials : The student is exposed to UNIX environment & Red Hat's Linux commands.

Red Hat Linux System Administration : The student masters the functionality involved in administering a Red Hat Linux environment.

Red Hat Linux Networking & Security Administration : The student understands network & security related protocols in a Red Hat Linux environment.

Red Hat Linux Virtualization : The student masters the technology of network management through the virtual model.

Module Three

This module primarily allows the student to master a networked environment with exposure to security and storage technology completing the understanding of networks.

Information Security

The student learns security of programs, communication, web, network & infrastructure.

What is the eligibility criterion for joining for CCNS?

The eligibility criterion for joining for CCNS is minimum HSC / Std. XII pass.

What is the eligibility criterion for seeking On-Job-Training with CCNS?

The eligibility criterion for On-Job-Training is minimum HSC / Std. XII pass.

How is the CCNS program delivered?

CCNS program must be delivered 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.

What will be the duration per day for the CCNS program?

The CCNS program will be delivered 3 days a week (in the lab) with alternate batch days as either:
	2 hours per day		4 hours per day

What will be the duration per batch in the program leading to CMS Certified Network Specialist (CCNS) certification?

The CCNS Program is structured as follows:
	Total duration is 500 hours.
	The program is structured as a trimodular career program.
	Module One is of 168 hours.
	Module Two is of 232 hours.
	Module Three is of 100 hours.

Payment of Fee for Course Material & Batch Conduct:

The course material receipt and batch conduct shall be commensurate to fee payment. The student is recommended not to pay the next installment, unless the sub-module progresses & gets complete in the format prescribed by CMS Institute Corporate Office.

Faster On Job Training Model:

The student will enjoy the possibility of applying for an On Job Training after completion of either the 1st or the 2nd Modules. The student need not await completion of the FREEDOM program leading to CMS Certified Network Specialist (CCNS). In case, of competitors' programs the 100% Job Guarantee comes only after course completion and with "Conditions Apply".

Earn & Learn Advantage:

Since the student shall enjoy the benefit of applying for an On Job Training after successful completion of the 1st or the 2nd Modules, they can actually start earning before course completion.

No Modular Examination:

The student need not attempt any Modular Examination to be eligible for a module related Participation Certificate.

Applying For Modular Participation Certificate:

Students can apply for Modular Participation Certificate only after the completion of the Module.

Optional Modular Participation Certificate:

It is optional for the student to apply for the Modular Participation Certificate. In case the student does not want to apply for the Modular Participation Certificate.

Applying For CCNS Certificate:

Students can apply for the CCNS Certificate:

After the completion of Modules I, II & III.
On submission, evaluation & declaration of success of the DSANS (Project).
On paying Rs.1,000/- as Examination Fee along with the Final Examination Questionnaire Requisition.
On being declared successful in CMS Institute Corporate Office conducted Final Examination process.

Guaranteed On Job Training or Placement Opportunity:

The guaranteed On Job Training or Placement Opportunity is valid only on successful course completion.

After the completion of Modules I, II & III.
On submission of DSANS (Project).
On paying Rs.1,000/- as Examination Fee along with the FEQR.
On Successful Attempt of the CMS Institute Corporate Office conducted Final Examination.

Rules & Regulations

CMS Institute Corporate Office presents the Rules & Regulations for the CMS Certified Network Specialist program as follows:

Right To Grant Admission:

CMS Institute Centre reserves the right to offer and grant admission to the applicant for the program.

Right To Approve Admission:

CMS Institute Corporate Office reserves the final right to approve the admission granted to the applicant for the program by the centre.

Deliverables:

It is mandatory to pay the relevant fee in advance for each module or set of modules for receipt of courseware & eligibility to attempt the free/sponsored exams.

Free / sponsored Exams:

It is mandatory to attempt any free/sponsored exam immediately after the payment of the fee due & completion of the relevant module at only the CMS Institute Corporate Office authorized list of testing centres. Since this free/sponsored exam is at no extra cost to the student, the offer is valid only if:

	The respective exam model exists and is conducted by the Vendor/Principal or the Testing Authority in India through CMS Institute Training Centre/s at the particular point of time the student is due to attempt the respective exams.
	The CMS tie-up with the Vendor/Principal or the Testing Authority in India exists at the particular point of time the student is due to attempt the respective exams.
	The student is willing to travel to the remote exam centre without any cost to CMS and gain valuable global certifications.

Courseware:

Students will be eligible for the next set of courseware, through their respective training centres, only after attempting the free/sponsored global certification exams and payment of relevant fee. Payment of relevant fee is mandatory for access to courseware.
The official courseware & sponsored product certification exams (if any) shall be provided if and only if CMS' partnership agreements with the respective principals are in existence. CMS has the right to change the courseware based on the existence of the partnership agreement.

Nil Liability:

CMS Institute Corporate Office or CMS Institute Training Centre/s is not liable to refund any fee for the inability of Vendor/Principal or the Testing Authority in India to deliver the exams in India through CMS Institute Training Centre/s.

Mandatory Project Submission:

The student is responsible for submitting the project before the Final Examination of the 3rd Semester. CMS Institute Corporate Office reserves the right to conduct the Final Examination and evaluate the student's performance.

CMS Certified Network Specialist:

On “Successful Program Completion”, CMS Institute Corporate Office will award the student a status of CMS Certified Network Specialist with a Final Grade Report encompassing the overall performance & the modules learnt subject to minimum 80% attendance for each semester.

Specialization Modules:

In case, specialization modules are conducted in certain key locations, the students have to travel without any cost to CMS to gain valuable higher end trainings and exposure to relevant infrastructure and experienced faculty.

Successful Program Completion:

The term “Successful Program Completion” is related to the student securing minimum 50% in each of the following segments of the Final Examination of each semester:

	Practical & Viva
