S.P.E.E.D. is a unique training methodology devised by the CMS Info Systems - IT Services & CMS Institute team to create a pool of talented, qualified & certified students who can be part of any IT Services workforce. The idea behind S.P.E.E.D. is to create personnel armed with such critical technical skills & soft skills that are most likely to be verified by any potential IT Services employer. S.P.E.E.D. is essentially a program for developing skill, proficiency, expertise, etiquette of students.

The program combines critical technical & soft skills (with spoken English) in 24 training days wherein 15 days are dedicated to technical & 9 days for soft skills. Each working day is considered to be of 6 training hours.

Only those students, who have completed the course and paid 100% Course Fee for any complete career track program (enrolled on or after 1st April 2009), can actually undergo S.P.E.E.D. The centre must ensure that the eligibility criteria are met before forwarding the list to CMS institute Corporate Office.

S.P.E.E.D. is a free of cost initiative by our IT Services & CMS Institute team. It is offered at no extra cost to our students. However, the student must travel to the location where S.P.E.E.D. is scheduled. This may involve outstation travel, conveyance, stay etc. Any incidental cost including the cost of travel, lodging and boarding for the outstation students shall be borne by the student only. This will ensure that the student is exposed to team building and IT metro life style, improving the confidence of the students while attempting interviews.

Post course completion & 100% Course Fee payment for the career program, the student must apply for attending S.P.E.E.D. at the CMS Institute Training Centre directly by registering in the S.P.E.E.D. Register.

The CMS Institute Training Centre will send the pending list of applicants for S.P.E.E.D. in serial order of applications received to CMS Institute Corporate Office – Academics (format attached). Based on the training date, venue, schedule, number of seats available received from the Manager - Training Delivery, CMS Institute Corporate Office - Academics shall send the short listed applicants list to CMS Institute Training Centre (format attached). In case, any student loses out on attending S.P.E.E.D., the CMS Institute Training Centre shall reschedule for the next available S.P.E.E.D. announced by CMS Institute Corporate Office.

The Manager – Training Delivery will ensure the conduct of a test at the end of S.P.E.E.D. and the marks scored details shall be sent to CMS Institute Corporate Office - Academics conducted test after each S.P.E.E.D. The student is declared successful only on achieving 60% marks in S.P.E.E.D. The students who are not successful in S.P.E.E.D. have no chance to be selected as A.T.E. or get an Industry Internship (II) with CMS Info Systems Pvt. Ltd. The students scoring less than 60% in S.P.E.E.D. are eligible to re-attend the training program through re-application at the CMS Institute Training Centre. The student will have to pay re-application charges of Rs. 100/- at the centre, a general receipt under “Reappearing Fee” will be issued by the centre.

Yes, attending S.P.E.E.D. is mandatory for the student to avail of placements. However, success in S.P.E.E.D. is not mandatory for availing placements. We would like to reiterate here that success in S.P.E.E.D. is mandatory to avail placements or Industry Internship (II) with CMS Info Systems Pvt. Ltd.

The students S.P.E.E.D. score shall be added for Internal Assessment while declaring Final Examination results and hence plays a crucial role for certification.

The student gets exposure to IT services best practices and thus increases the job opportunities. The student has better chances of getting absorbed in CMS Info Systems Pvt. Ltd. The student also gets to interact with other students of the CMS Institute Training Centre network, gets exposure to IT metros and real life case studies, which are an important part of the learning curve.
